NERDGASM WITH ME FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY AT THE FRINGE!Tom LenkThu, 02 Jun 2011 05:41:18 +0000http://tomlenk.com/blog/2011/6/2/edinburgh-or-bust-nerdgasm-with-me-for-one-night-only-at-the.html637911:7419535:11659345That's right people, I like a challenge!  I'm taking my solo comedy show "NERDGASM" back to the UK!  I had a blast at the SOHO Theatre in London and now I'm excited to tackle one of my other dreams!  To perform at the Fringe Festival in Scottland! And to spice it up a bit, I've raised the stakes!  Most other shows are running during the whole festival...I however will be doing one night only!  And on top of that, I will be filming a documentary about my journey to the fringe and about one man shows and why we do them...going to sit down and chat with other solo performers and get to the root of why we want people to come listen to our stories!  So yes, only one night to film it...High Stakes! 

I can't wait for the adventure of recrafting the show to work at the Fringe! And all of the adventures that will come with being in a crazy, hectic, artistic and amazing time in Scottland!  The coolest part of all of this is that from my Producer, to the tech crew, to the musicians...everything of this show is happening because of Twitter!  Can you belive it!  It's opened a whole international world of exciting performances and travel and new friends and fun times!  Hmm...I think I sound like a commercial right now ...lol.  I can't wait to get there!  Lots of hard work ahead!

We won last year with our Christian Bale Remix dance.  We had a blast and coreographed and learned the whole thing in one day!  Special thanks to Susannah Hall, Kristin Campbell-Taylor for help with the moves and the whole gang!  It was an awesome group effort. 

Can you believe we got 2nd place? I mean Project Runway's Sarah Trost made us kilts and sashes out of flannel shirts  on the spot!  It was badass!!! Anyway 2nd place is good too :)  BTW this is not safe for work!  Lots of offensive language and obnoxious head voice recordings on my part!
